The book cover for MARIA (coming July 30th!) is finished, and I absolutely adore it!! It evokes one of the most iconic scenes from The Sound of Music, a film which changed the lives of the real von Trapps. It’s perfect because the novel begins with Maria von Trapp's trip to New York to confront the writers working on the script for The Sound of Music. Maria was deeply unhappy that so much of her life story had been changed, and the book delves into which parts of her life were altered (for better and for worse). I hope you love this cover as much as I do. And I know I must have a few readers out there with photos of themselves singing to the hills like this!
